Inter-Agency Report on Indonesian Forest and Land Fires and Proposals for Risk Reduction in Human Settlements
The extent of the damage caused by fires in Indonesia in pure material terms has been massive. For a country recovering from a severe economic crisis this is an unacceptably high loss of resources. There are currently several initiatives at the national, regional and international levels to address the issues related to the damage caused by forest fires and the associated haze.
